So here’s the thing, recycling, sustainability, zero waste living isn’t new. Not by a long shot.
My mother recycled, upcycled, repaired and refilled. There was a little shop that she went to so she could refill her laundry supplies. She had shopping bags that didn’t get thrown away until they were beyond repair. She bought local, we had bars of soap and produce that came from the garden or the butchers or the market, so no plastic trays in sight.
I could go on, my point being it wasn’t that long ago. Not a distance history lesson, I am not that old. I wonder how things have changed so much in such a short time and how we suddenly seem to need re-educating on something that was second nature a generation or two ago.

Maybe it’s overwhelming, all the changes that society needs to make, like a massive challenge, when all we really need to do is make the first step. And if we all made a few little changes then hopefully an avalanche of big change will follow.
Much love xx
